My eighty eighth year on this earth will soon be complete and, Father, I thank you, not just for the years, but for the bountiful blessings You have given to me over those years. I thank You for the times, when I have fallen and failed You and those I loved, that you have picked me up and removed the dirt, then placed me back on solid ground. Mine has been a good life filled with joy and a little pain, but Father, like they said of the wine at the wedding in Canah, You saved the best for me until the last. Each day I am able to enjoy friendships over unimagineable distances with people I may never see until we gather at Your feet.
Today, My Father, I ask of you in prayer that you help my son find employment that will make possible his wife's coming to be here with him and the boys. Please lift the burden of loneliness from them until that is possible.
Also, My Father, I have friends on Facebook, who ask and need Your blessings. A husband and mother is hospitalized, another is starting dialysis, and there is a dog named Hen who is greatly loved but very ill. Please minister to these needs and bless those who are trying to be of service.
My Daughter and Son-in-law from Oregon and two friends from Missouri and a granddaughterr from Arkansas will be traveling these next few days to come celebrate my birthday. Please keep them safe and all others who are traveling. One more thing for which I thank You is the moderate weather that seems to be on schedule for these days.
These things I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
A gentle mist of tears, may they sweeten your day and add to those you've just prayed over. You are a beautiful man. God is good. He has cast our sins in the deepest sea, He has His eye on our todays and our tomorrows. I never forget that. He never said it wouldn't sometimes be a bumpy ride, only that He'd carry us through to the other side of it. My heart never forgets that, and truly I am never without hope.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for your son and his wife. I read what you'd written to Tammy. I will make it a fervent prayer. May God keep me faithful in it until the positive result has manifested!
I love your posts.
What a thoughtful and humble person you are. Your blogs to me are amazing works of truth, just basic and simple. I don't think you realize the impact your words have had on me over the past few months, I will be forever grateful for your friendship, and to my dear dear friend De'on who brought us together. I will also say a special prayer for your son and his family. We are all so very lucky to have you in our lives.
